CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS:
The table is made of solid TEAK tree root and Java wood. When we refer to solid wood, we mean wood made entirely from the trunk of a tree. Solid wood is the most expensive choice in terms of wood but stands out for its timeless aesthetics.
TEAK is the most popular type of hardwood. It is yellow to dark brown in color, extremely heavy, high strength, weather resistant, warp resistant and does not decompose. Often, the “waters” of this wood are strong and straight. It is used for many interior constructions.
Java wood is made from a single coffee tree that no longer produces coffee beans, usually around 25 years or older. The wood from a java tree is hard, durable, and naturally insect free!
The glass on the tabletop is toughened (tempered), which means it has undergone the appropriate heat or chemical treatment to increase its strength compared to normal glass. Tempering puts the outer surfaces in compression and the inner surfaces in tension, creating this unbreakable glass, the characteristic of which is that when it finally reaches a breaking point it shatters into countless small spherical pieces.
MAINTENANCE:
The fact that TEAK and Java wood are included in hardwoods makes them very easy to maintain. All it needs is a dusting and when necessary, a cleaning with a damp cloth.
