Also, its durability is not limited to weight, water and temperature but it is unusually resistant to many chemical solvents, acids and bases as well.
Mini Story: Polypropylene was discovered relatively recently (in 1950) by Fontana, while the synthesis of isostatic polypropylene (semi-crystalline) which has industrial applications, was discovered in 1954 by Giulio Natta, who shared the Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Karl Ziegler in 1963.
