- Textilene: Textilene is an extremely durable material widely used in outdoor furniture and fittings. It consists of polyester fibers coated with PVC (polyvinyl chloride), creating a material that combines durability, weather resistance and flexible texture. Maintenance instructions:
- Metal: If it’s any indoor metal, a regular dusting or cleaning with a damp cloth is the way to go. However, if it is metal outdoor furniture, you should follow the steps below:
- For longer protection, coat your metal furniture with a protective cream that is easily available at commercial stores.
- If your furniture is processed and painted using the powder-coating method (electrostatic painting) then it is very durable and easy to clean with a damp cloth.
- If your metal furniture does not have an electrostatic paint, then you should take extra care of it and keep it away from water and moisture. You can cover them with special covers and in the winter put them indoors if you can.
- If you notice rust, then remove it with turpentine and then apply an anti-rust varnish before painting the surface with an oxidation-resistant paint.
- Textilene: Textilene is easy to clean with simple soap and water. It does not require special maintenance or care and can remain in good condition with minimal care.
