Material Information:
- MDF: Medium-density fiberboard, a wood-derived product. It is made using resins (glues) to bond wood fibers, which are then compressed with special heated presses. It is denser than chipboard and resistant to wear. Additionally, it does not absorb moisture.
- PP: Polypropylene, a thermoplastic material widely used due to its excellent properties. Although lightweight, it has high impact resistance, making it suitable for applications requiring durability against impacts and friction. It maintains its properties even when exposed to moisture, making it suitable for environments with high humidity.
- PU Leatherette: PU is a synthetic leather commonly referred to as polyurethane. It is widely used in various fields due to its excellent properties. It has satisfactory durability, is easy to clean, waterproof, does not deform, and is environmentally friendly.
- Metal: Metal is widely used in furniture manufacturing, offering several advantages over other materials. It is highly resistant to wear, ideal for furniture intended for daily use in demanding environments. It maintains its shape and structure perfectly, ensuring stability and longevity. In addition to the properties mentioned above, metal may also have other characteristics, such as antimicrobial action (copper) or superconductivity (molybdenum).
Maintenance Instructions:
- MDF: To clean, use a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. For stains, use a soft cloth with lukewarm water and mild soap. Gently wipe the surface until the stain is removed. Finally, wipe the surface thoroughly with a dry cloth. MDF is sensitive to moisture, so it’s essential to protect it from moisture. Wipe away any liquids immediately. Do not use strong cleaners or chemicals, as they may damage the MDF.
- PP: For daily cleaning of polypropylene, use a soft cloth or sponge slightly dampened with mild detergent and warm water. Apply the cloth to the surface and clean with light pressure.
- PU Leatherette: Use a soft cloth to remove any dust from the surface. For stains, use lukewarm water and mild soap, and wipe the area. Always dry the surface afterward with a dry cloth to avoid water marks.
- Metal: For any indoor metal, regular dusting or wiping with a damp cloth is recommended. For outdoor metal furniture, follow these steps:
- For longer-lasting protection, apply a protective cream that can be easily purchased from retail stores.
- If your furniture is treated and painted using the powder-coating method, it is highly resistant and can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth.
- If your metal furniture does not have electrostatic painting, you should be more cautious and keep it away from water and moisture. You can cover it with special covers and, if possible, store it indoors during winter.
- If you notice rust, remove it with turpentine and then apply an anti-rust varnish before painting the surface with anti-corrosion paint.
