- Metal: For indoor metal furniture, dusting or cleaning with a damp cloth at regular intervals is the recommended choice. However, for outdoor metal furniture, you should follow these steps for longer protection:
- For greater protection, apply a protective cream to your metal furniture, readily available from commercial stores.
- If your furniture is treated and painted with the powder-coating method (electrostatic painting), it is highly durable and easily cleaned with a damp cloth.
- If your metal furniture is not powder-coated, you should take extra care and keep it away from water and moisture. You can cover them with special covers and during winter, place them indoors if possible.
- If you notice rust, remove it with a rust remover and then apply an anti-corrosive varnish before painting the surface with rust-resistant paint.
