Info…: Aluminum is a metal with excellent mechanical properties and has introduced a revolution in many technological fields. Although much lighter than other metals, it has very high mechanical strength, which is why it is used so much in various fields. In addition, it is very resistant to various forms of corrosion because a thin oxide layer forms naturally on the surface in contact with air, which provides very good protection against corrosion, even in corrosive environments. Aluminum is also the third most common element present in the earth’s crust. It is a “green” material that can be recycled indefinitely, maintaining its characteristics without any quality degradation. Indeed, the energy required for its recycling is only 5% of that consumed in its initial production. It is therefore no surprise that in Europe 85% of aluminum used in construction comes from recycling. MAINTENANCE:
Synthetic Rattan does not need much maintenance. It does not absorb heat, it is completely resistant to water (waterproof), it does not change its shape, nor its color and withstands difficult weather conditions. Therefore, furniture made of Rattan are maintained with plenty of water – cold or hot – and a soft cloth or sponge. You should NOT use detergents, bleaches, and polishes, because they will wash away the color. If, nevertheless, the use of detergent is necessary, then you can use mild soap, or some baking soda dissolved in warm water. You should NOT use a pressure machine or hose with pressure because it will damage the fibers. Finally, if you do not have the possibility to store them indoors, at very low temperatures, it would be good to cover them with perforated covers.
For the aluminum frame, it is ideal to use a very soft cloth or sponge, plenty of water and a mild cleaning product such as dishwashing detergent. It does not require special maintenance since it does not corrode.
The bottom end of the legs has plastic covers to protect the floor from damage.
