HM8359.11–A bed that is beautiful and comfortable, and “challenges” you to lie down every night, is sure to give you the best possible rest. Because the concept of rest and bed is not only about mattresses, or fabric, or pillows and blankets.
In HM8359.11, the traditional version of the wooden bed meets modern design. The construction is heavy and sturdy while the front legs, the middle support of the mattress boards and the supports of the headboard are metal in black. Of course, these metal parts go unnoticed, compared with the uniqueness of the solid wood from which the rest of the bed is made.

CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS:
The front legs, the middle support on the mattress boards and the supports on the headboard are metal and offer strength and sturdiness.
The rest of the bed is made of solid acacia wood. When we refer to solid wood, we mean wood made entirely from the trunk of a tree. Solid wood is the most expensive choice in terms of wood but stands out for its timeless aesthetics.
Info: Acacia is a native species of North America and was introduced to Europe around the 17th century. It is a medium-sized deciduous tree, 20-25 meters tall, and blooms in the Spring from April to May. There are about 1,300 species of acacia and in Greece very few of them thrive. Its characteristic is that it grows in loose, deep, and fresh soils, but its adaptability is excellent, and it can “take hold” even in very poor and dry soils. It is a beautiful tree and thanks to its ease of growth and its resistance to pruning, it has earned its place in parks as an ornamental tree.
Solid wood furniture may have small deviations of a few centimeters in its dimensions and shape, as each one is unique and handmade.
The existing cracks or those that may be created over time are due to the contraction-expansion of the living organism called solid wood, and are not a manufacturing defect, giving originality and unique design to your space. These are not a product defect.
During the production process, existing cracks are smoothed and stabilized with material made from the same wood.
MAINTENANCE:
Solid wood of any kind is considered to be of high quality. In case of wear and tear it can be repaired and last for many years. In order to clean the wood from the dust and heavy usage, we need a material that is active but also mild enough, so as not to damage the wood, always following the “waters” (waves) of the wood.
Nourishing and moisturizing wooden furniture
Furniture made from good, real wood needs regular moisturizing because the wood dries out easily. That’s why if you have them near a fireplace or radiator you must move them away, because they will be damaged much faster than you think. Moisture, of course, is the food of wood. As long as it exists in the space at normal levels that is! Furniture usually needs regular moisturizing, at least once every three months. The one solution we recommend is to feed them regularly with wax, which you can easily find in all supermarkets. There are also special oils for this job, but a baby oil or a little olive oil does the same job! The traditional beeswax, which also smells nice, is another solution for those who prefer natural materials. Whatever material you put on, rub it with a cotton cloth (always following the grain of the wood). Use a small amount for easy absorption.
