Material Information:
- MDF: Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) is a wood-based product. It is produced by bonding wood fibers with resins (adhesives) and compressing them with special heated presses. It is denser and more durable than chipboard. Additionally, it does not absorb moisture.
- PP: Polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic material widely used in various fields due to its excellent properties. Although lightweight, it has high impact resistance, making it suitable for applications requiring durability against impacts and abrasions. It retains its properties even in high humidity environments.
- Beech Wood: Beech wood comes from the beech tree, a deciduous tree native to Europe and Asia. It is one of the most common hardwoods in Europe and is valued for its hardness, durability, and beauty. It has a light brown to cream color with a fine, even texture. It has tight pores and minimal visible grain, giving it a clean, elegant appearance. Beech wood is also very hard and durable, making it a good choice for furniture and flooring that will withstand heavy use. Beech wood is easy to cut, shape, and finish, making it ideal for furniture and other constructions.
- PU (Leatherette) Upholstery: PU is a leather imitation commonly referring to the polymer polyurethane, a material widely used in many fields due to its excellent properties. It has satisfactory durability, is easy to clean, waterproof, does not deform, and is environmentally friendly.
- Metal: Metal is widely used in furniture construction, offering several advantages over other materials. It is highly resistant to wear, ideal for furniture intended for daily use in a demanding environment. It maintains its shape and structure perfectly, ensuring stability and longevity for the furniture. In addition to the properties mentioned above, metal can have other characteristics, such as antimicrobial action (copper) or superconductivity (molybdenum).
Material Maintenance Instructions:
- MDF: To clean, use a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. For stains, use a soft cloth with lukewarm water and mild soap. Gently wipe the surface until the stain is removed. Finally, dry the surface with a clean cloth. MDF is sensitive to moisture, so it is important to protect it from humidity. Wipe off any moisture immediately. Avoid using strong cleaners or chemicals, as they may damage MDF.
- PP: For daily cleaning of polypropylene, use a soft cloth or sponge lightly dampened with mild detergent and warm water. Apply the cloth to the surface and clean with light pressure.
- PU Leatherette: Use a soft cloth to remove any dust from the surface. For stains, use lukewarm water and mild soap and wipe the area. Always dry the surface afterward with a dry cloth to avoid watermarks.
- Beech Wood: Use a soft cloth slightly dampened with water and mild detergent to remove dust and stains from the wood surface. To maintain the natural beauty of the wood and protect it from moisture and wear, you can use special finishing products, such as oils or waxes, which will enhance the wood’s protection and durability.
- Metal: For any indoor metal furniture, dusting or wiping with a damp cloth regularly is the recommended option. However, if it is outdoor metal furniture, follow the steps below:
- For longer protection, apply protective cream that can be easily purchased from stores.
- If your furniture is treated and painted with powder-coating, it is very durable and can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth.
- If your metal furniture is not powder-coated, take extra care to keep it away from water and moisture. You can cover them with special covers and store them indoors during winter.
- If you notice rust, remove it with turpentine and then apply rustproof varnish before painting the surface with oxidation-resistant paint.
