Material information:
- MDF: Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) is a wood derivative. It is produced by compressing wood fibers with resins (glues) using special heated presses. It is denser than chipboard and durable. Additionally, it does not absorb moisture.
- PP: Polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic material widely used in various sectors due to its excellent properties. Although lightweight, it has high impact resistance, making it suitable for applications requiring durability against impacts and abrasions. It retains its properties even when exposed to moisture, making it suitable for use in high-humidity environments.
- Beech Wood: Beech wood comes from the beech tree, a deciduous tree native to Europe and Asia. It is one of the most common hardwoods in Europe and is valued for its hardness, durability, and beauty. It has a light brown to cream color with a fine, uniform texture. It has tight pores and minimal visible grain, giving it a clean, elegant appearance. Beech wood is also very hard and durable, making it a good choice for furniture and flooring that will withstand heavy use. Beech wood is easy to cut, shape, and finish, making it ideal for furniture and other constructions.
- Metal: Metal is widely used in furniture construction, offering a range of advantages over other materials. It is highly resistant to wear, making it ideal for furniture intended for daily use in demanding environments. It maintains its shape and structure impeccably, ensuring stability and longevity in furniture. In addition to the above properties, metal can have other characteristics, such as antimicrobial action (copper) or superconductivity (molybdenum).
Material maintenance instructions:
- MDF: To clean, use a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. For stains, use a soft cloth with lukewarm water and mild soap. Gently wipe the surface until the stain is removed. Finally, wipe the surface thoroughly with a dry cloth. MDF is sensitive to moisture, so it’s important to protect it from exposure. Wipe up any liquids immediately. Do not use strong cleaners or chemicals, as they may damage the MDF.
- PP: For daily cleaning of polypropylene, use a soft cloth or sponge slightly moistened with mild detergent and warm water. Apply the cloth to the surface and clean with light pressure.
- Beech Wood: Use a soft cloth slightly moistened with water and mild detergent to remove dust and stains from the wood surface. To maintain the natural beauty of the wood and protect it from moisture and wear, you can use special finishing products such as oils or waxes, which will enhance the protection and durability of the wood.
- Metal: If it is any indoor metal, regular dusting or cleaning with a damp cloth is recommended. However, for outdoor metal furniture, follow these steps:
- For longer protection, apply a protective cream to your metal furniture, which you can easily find in commercial stores.
- If your furniture is treated and painted with the powder-coating method (electrostatic paint), it is very durable and easy to clean with a damp cloth.
- If your metal furniture does not have electrostatic paint, you should be more careful and keep it away from water and moisture. You can cover them with special covers, and during winter, place them indoors if possible.
- If you notice rust, remove it with turpentine and then apply anti-rust varnish before painting the surface with oxidation-resistant paint.
