Material information:
- Aluminum: The material “ALU” refers to aluminum, which is the third most common element on earth and the first most common metal. Aluminum creates a protective oxidizing layer when in contact with air, protecting against corrosion, while being fully recyclable without losing its properties, making it a very sustainable material.
- PE Rattan: It is a popular material, imitation of natural rattan, used in the manufacture of furniture and accessories. It is made of polyethylene, which is a durable synthetic polymer resin. It is weather resistant, does not wear out from the sun or rain and does not fade, while being environmentally friendly.
- Metal: Metal is widely used in furniture making, offering a number of advantages over other materials. It is extremely wear-resistant, ideal for furniture intended for daily use in a demanding environment. It maintains its shape and structure perfectly, ensuring stability and longevity to the furniture. In addition to the properties mentioned above, the metal may have other characteristics, such as antimicrobial activity (copper) or superconductivity (molybdenum).
- Fabric: Fabric is a versatile material made by weaving, knitting, stitching or bonding fibers. These fibers can be natural, such as cotton, wool or silk, or synthetic, such as polyester or nylon. The weaving of the fibers creates a network that gives the fabric its properties, such as strength, softness, breathability and elasticity. There are endless varieties of fabrics, each with their own unique characteristics and uses.
Maintenance instructions:
- Aluminium: Use a damp microfiber cloth dampened with water. If the aluminum has a lot of residue, such as rust or stains, use a mild detergent or cleaner to remove it.
- PE Rattan: It is easy to maintain and clean, requiring simple washing with soap and water.
- Metal: If it is metal outdoor furniture, you should follow the steps below:
- For longer protection, coat your metal furniture with a protective cream that is easily available at commercial stores.
- If your furniture is treated and painted using the powder-coating method (electrostatic painting) then it is very durable and easy to clean with a damp cloth.
- If your metal furniture does not have an electrostatic paint, then you should take extra care of it and keep it away from water and moisture. You can cover them with special covers and in the winter put them indoors if you can.
- If you notice rust, then remove it with turpentine and then apply an anti-rust varnish before painting the surface with an oxidation-resistant paint.
- Fabric: The maintenance of fabric depends on several factors, such as the type of fiber, the construction of the fabric and its use. Use a mild detergent that is suitable for the type of fabric. Avoid using bleach or bleach as they can damage the fibers.
