Material Information:
- PE Rattan: PE rattan, a popular material that mimics natural rattan, is commonly used in the construction of furniture and accessories. Made from polyethylene, a durable synthetic polymer resin, PE rattan is weather-resistant and does not degrade from exposure to sun or rain. It retains its color and does not fade, making it an excellent choice for both indoor and outdoor use. Additionally, PE rattan is environmentally friendly, contributing to sustainable practices in manufacturing and product longevity.
- Tempered glass – Safety glass: Tempered glass, also known as toughened or thermally processed glass, is a type of safety glass that has undergone special treatment to increase its strength compared to ordinary glass. The thermal processing involves heating the glass to a high temperature and then rapidly cooling it. This creates a compression stress on the surface of the glass and a tensile stress inside, making it more resistant to impacts, thermal shocks, and scratches. It is about 5 times more impact-resistant than ordinary glass. A significant advantage is that in case of breakage, tempered glass shatters into small, blunt fragments, reducing the risk of serious injury. It is used in tables, desks, TV furniture, etc.
- Metal: Metal is widely used in furniture construction, offering several advantages over other materials. It is extremely resistant to wear, ideal for furniture intended for daily use in a demanding environment. It maintains its shape and structure perfectly, ensuring stability and longevity. Besides the properties mentioned above, metal can also have other characteristics, such as antimicrobial action (copper) or superconductivity (molybdenum).
- Fabric cushion: Fabric is a versatile material made
by weaving, knitting, stitching, or bonding fibers together. These fibers can
be natural, such as cotton, wool, or silk, or synthetic, such as polyester or
nylon. The weaving of fibers creates a network that gives the fabric its
properties, such as strength, softness, breathability, and elasticity. There
are countless varieties of fabrics, each with its own unique characteristics
and uses.
Maintenance Instructions:
- PE Rattan: This material is easy to maintain and clean. Simply wash it with water and mild soap. Use a soft brush or cloth to gently scrub away dirt and debris. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow it to air dry. Regular cleaning will help maintain its appearance and extend its lifespan.
- Tempered glass: Initially, use a soft damp cloth and a mild detergent or just water. Apply the cloth to the tempered glass and clean it with gentle circular motions. Avoid using excessive pressure and materials that may cause scratches.
- Metal: For any indoor metal, dusting or wiping with a damp cloth regularly is recommended. However, for outdoor metal furniture, follow these steps:
- For extended protection, apply protective cream, easily available in stores, to your metal furniture
- If your furniture is processed and painted with powder-coating, it is very durable and can be cleaned easily with a damp cloth.
- If your metal furniture is not powder-coated, you need to be more careful and keep it away from water and humidity. You can cover them with special covers and, if possible, place them indoors during winter.
- If you notice rust, remove it with turpentine, then apply anti-rust varnish before painting the surface with oxidation-resistant paint.
- Fabric cushion:
The
maintenance of fabric depends on various factors such as the type of fiber,
fabric construction, and its use. Use a mild detergent that is suitable for the
type of fabric. Avoid using bleach or whitening agents, as they can damage the
fibers.
