Material Information:
- MDF (Medium-Density Fibreboard): MDF is a wood derivative made by bonding wood fibers with resins and compressing them with heated presses. It is denser than chipboard and resistant to moisture.
- Chipboard: A composite wood material made from small wood pieces, typically pine or fir, bonded together under high pressure and temperature using resins. It is widely used in furniture making, interior surfaces, and construction applications. Made from recycled materials, it is resistant to warping, abrasion, and other physical stresses.
- Melamine (LPB): Low Pressure Melamine (LPB) is a synthetic material widely used for surface treatment of chipboard in furniture and surfaces due to its durability and ease of maintenance. It is applied to substrates such as MDF or OSB plywood to produce durable surfaces.
Maintenance Instructions:
- MDF: Clean with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. For stains, use a soft cloth with lukewarm water and mild soap. Wipe the surface gently until the stain is removed. Finally, dry the surface thoroughly with a dry cloth. MDF is sensitive to moisture, so it is important to protect it from humidity. Wipe up any liquids immediately. Do not use strong cleaners or chemicals, as they can damage the MDF.
- Chipboard: Clean with a soft cloth lightly moistened with water and mild detergent. Avoid excessive use of water and keep the surface dry after cleaning.
- Melamine (LPB): For stain removal, use a soft cloth with lukewarm water and mild soap. Wipe the surface gently until the stain is removed. Melamine is sensitive to moisture, so it is important to protect it from water.
