Material Information:
- Chipboard: Chipboard, also known as particleboard, is a composite wood material made from small wood chips, usually pine or fir, glued together under high pressure and temperature using resins. It is widely used in furniture construction, interior surfaces, and structural applications.
- Melamine (LPB): LPB (Low Pressure Melamine) melamine is a synthetic material widely used in the surface treatment of chipboard in furniture and surface manufacturing due to its durability and ease of maintenance. It is applied to substrates such as MDF (Medium-density fibreboard) or OSB (Oriented Strand Board) to produce resistant surfaces.
- MDF (Medium-density fibreboard): MDF is a wood derivative. Resins (glues) are used to bond wood fibers, which are compressed with special heated presses for its production. It is denser than chipboard and resistant to wear. Also, it does not absorb any moisture.
- Metal:
Metal is widely used in furniture construction, offering several advantages
over other materials. It is extremely resistant to wear, ideal for furniture
intended for daily use in a demanding environment. It maintains its shape and
structure perfectly, ensuring stability and longevity. Besides the properties
mentioned above, metal can also have other characteristics, such as
antimicrobial action (copper) or superconductivity (molybdenum).
Maintenance Instructions:
- Chipboard: For cleaning chipboard, you can use a soft cloth lightly dampened with water and mild detergent. Avoid excessive use of water and keep the surface dry after cleaning.
- Melamine (LPB): To remove stains from the surface, use a soft cloth with warm water and mild soap. Gently wipe the surface until the stain is removed. Melamine is sensitive to moisture, so it’s important to protect it from water.
- MDF: To clean, use a soft dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. For stains, use a soft cloth with lukewarm water and mild soap. Gently wipe the surface until the stain is removed. Finally, wipe the surface well with a dry cloth. MDF is sensitive to moisture, so it is important to protect it from moisture. Wipe off any liquids immediately. Do not use strong cleaners or chemicals as they may damage the MDF.
- Metal:
For any indoor metal, dusting or wiping with a damp cloth regularly is
recommended.
